Amazed and THANKFUL!!!

Broken pick handles from working in the rocky ground. The guys desperately needed more tools to keep working.

While Samuel was in Port he went ahead and purchased 3 new pick handles, a hoe, 3 shovels and a machete. Last night when Samuel got back here to the Plateau he noticed the new gift on GoFundMe. It was more than enough to cover the purchases he made.

Amazed and THANKFUL!!!
The guys working with their new tools TODAY!

Check this out!

The Mapou tree was planted on the land a year ago last September. This tree puts down deep roots and raises the water levels.

LOOK at the growth of this tree in such a short time. It's hard to imagine how this tree can survive in such dry and depleted soil.

Samuel's hand is indicating how tall the mapou was when first planted.
Nov 17th this picture was taken...just after two weeks look at the results...
November 30th...look at the growth of from that same branch!

Our New Project Site is READY!!!!
By 2016 the LAND will be handed over to the community of Cite Lemuel. But it is still far from being ready. We see this land being the starting base out for which more land can be purchased and developed. It seems impossible BUT in such a short time we are seeing that growth and change is possible but WE NEED HELP TO START!
We've raised $1,655 trough GoFundMe so far and this has paid for a fence to keep animals out, salaries for men to work, trees and water.

By 2016 we see a land filled with trees, a water cistern, a storage depot, a tree nursery, a road. Go to www.gofundme.com/samuelstrees  to help us continue this vision.

1,000 TREES PLANTED!!!

We are thrilled to be able to share with you the great news. Trees were purchased to plant on the land but with the lack of rain we waited. THEN THE RAIN CAME and we PLANTED!

READY for the next phase...
The fencing is almost done!!!

These pictures were taken yesterday of the men working on the fence.

The RAINS are still coming and the push to get the water cistern done before the rains end is urgent. Samuel is finishing the plans to building the water cistern.
THANK YOU for taking the time to consider investing in this work.
It's not easy but as they say in Haiti, "Many hands make the work lighter".

 WORK HAS STARTED!!!
Two men have work now. Tranches are being dug to hold rain water. Friday there was a BIG rain and you can see in the picture the water that the trenches are able to hold.

The fence holes will be put in this week. The next big step is to build a water cistern to better hold water.

Visit in Germany / Besuch in Deutschland

Here we go, a new update with a couple pictures about the weeks which have past and the things I was able to do. I am so thankful to be able to be in Germany and see friends and family. My first two times of speaking about my work past by well and I got a great respond.

Starting to get the feeling of welding while sitting, so that the hand is more calm.

That was one of the Kehlnaht I was welding, doesn't look to bad.
How excidet I was when I saw the Schlacke take of like that!

Welding a peace over head just to get a feeling for it.
Auch das Überkopfschweißen will probiert sein.
That is the outcoming of the over head welding experience.
Und das ist das Ergebniss des Überkopfschweißens.
At the end I recieved a certificate to be a welder from my friend.
Afterwards we went for some Zwetschgen, so that they could have some marmelade.

Thank you very much for your support.
Vielen Dank für eure Unterstützung.
