We have a problem…

With preparations finishing for Samuel and some of the guys to live on the land we have run into a huge problem. The 9,000 gallons of water in the cistern is only lasting 1 month! Because there is NO ROOF YET the sun is evaporating the water faster than they can use it. It will cost around $1,500 to out on the roof.

LET’S HELP SAVE THE WATER!

teasing clouds...

There have been large grey clouds passing by the community, some spitting on the earth as if to laugh at our plight.
NO RAIN YET!

…we know now the cistern at the land lasts about one month. The water truck is working around the clock to restore it and other cisterns around the community.

Not Too Hot...

You know it's actually hot when a Haitian complains of feeling warm!!!

Despite the heat, the work carries on for the latrine. In under two days a team of three have made significant progress on the wall.

The trees are crying for water in the heat.

We are continually in need of rain on the Plateau and so we pray and use the water from the NEW CISTERN!!!

3 Months later...

We invited you to be apart of this dream...

Over the months funds have come in. We started with some bags of cement and LOOK NOW!

HAPPY EASTER
Thank you to those who have helped us these past few months. Samuel was able to purchase the doors and windows for the WATER HOUSE!
Next Step...ROOF!

gaining perspective...

Walking onto the land you can see the changes that have taken place.
New growth is everywhere with the three days of showers we have received. It was not a huge rain but the light rain fall has pushed new shoots up.

The men working on the land are on a break for Easter break.

Samuel's family visited the land one time before returning home to Germany.

New donations have helped us put the base on the latrine to seal it off.

THANK YOU for working with us THIS YEAR on this project. To have a land producing trees, growing new trees and young men trained in caring for the land.
